Thanks for checking out my BandCamp page. A native of Washington, D.C., I am now based in Vero Beach, Florida. I’m a self-taught guitarist/songwriter and my influences range from the amazing music of the 60’s (when I was a teen) and 70's to the great rock bands of today. In the late 60’s/early 70’s I had the good fortune to be a part-time roadie working the DC area, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York for a number of bands. They included; The Jeff Beck Group, Ten Years After, The Doors, The Who, Savoy Brown, ELP and many others. So I had some interesting influences.

In Vero Beach, I have some awesome collaborators including the truly amazing guitarist Dave Scott (www.musicbydavescott.com) who also provides all the vocals, vocal melodies and recording of my songs. On bass is Peter George who has toured with many bands all over the country. I’ve worked with two great drummers; Tony Rodriguez (on ‘I Always Get My Way’ and ‘I Can’t Take You Any More’) and Brian Cunningham (on the rest of the songs). Local singer Jerzy Nalzaro provided vocals on "Glow In The Dark Girl." I have to say I’m pretty lucky to get such seasoned pros to work with me.

Hide From Yourself Tell me your troubles, tell me your pain. Nothing ventured, and nothing gained. You made a girl crazy, You made Her cry. You shot a man down and you watched him die. Tell me your name, and I'll tell you my price. Listen to me and hear my advice. You gotta hide from yourself. When trouble comes knocking, use your brain. Get outta town, get on the next train. Well don'tchya stop running, don'tchya look back. If you see the man coming, you'll have to shoot back. Tell me your name, and I'll tell you my price. Listen to me and hear my advice. You gotta hide from yourself. Well you gotta face your maker, you gotta atone. You better quit runnin’ or you'll be all alone. Get down on your knees and crawl on the floor. You’re gonna learn to take shit and you'll learn to take more. Tell me your name, and I'll tell you my price. Listen to me and hear my advice. You gotta hide from yourself. Broken Hearts & Empty Roads I was walking down a lonely lane Lookin’ for the closest train When she pulled up and smiled at me Where ya goin’, what’ll it be Broken hearts & empty roads, Don’t look over your shoulder Broken hearts & empty roads, There’s nowhere else to go We headed down to the blue highway Looking for a place to stay Cars and bars and local bands We danced all night in the sand Broken hearts & empty roads, Don’t look over your shoulder Broken hearts & empty roads, There’s nowhere else to go She turned to me and said you’re the man I looked at her, I had no other plan In the hotel room I declared I gotta have you, I’m runnin’ scared Broken hearts & empty roads, Don’t look over your shoulder Broken hearts & empty roads, There’s nowhere else to go She smiled at him in another bar I was shocked, we’d come so far We parted ways in Old Town Lyme I kissed her mouth just one last time Broken hearts & empty roads, Don’t look over your shoulder Broken hearts & empty roads, There’s nowhere else to go Broken hearts & empty roads, Don’t look over your shoulder Broken hearts & empty roads, There’s nowhere else to go Broken Hearts & Empty Roads ©Scott Leslie 2016 WGAE I285075

Glow In The Dark Girl Glow in the dark girl Turn off the lights See the shadows dance Girl’s been unchained Shine in dark light Watch the luminescent shine Gotta unwind Gotta rewind It’s her time to shine (Repeat Chorus) Glow in the dark girl Into the night The love intertwines Facets of bright Fly from her eyes Watch the luminescent shine Gotta unwind Gotta rewind It’s her time to shine (Repeat Chorus) I'm the glow in the dark girl Who lived through the night Saw the luminescent shine I was a light Shot from the dark Became luminescent shine Became luminescent shine Watch the luminescent shine Glow In The Dark Girl ©Scott Leslie/Cara Lewis 2016 WGAE I285074

Karmic Blues 04:07
Karmic Blues Mystical visions appear high in the sky I give you my love, I'll give you my lies When we touch, we explode in many ways Our love goes on and on for days and days I left my sins behind me but love still eludes Losing a troubled past is not a past without the blues I don't know where I'm going but I know where I've gone I don't know what I'm doing now but I've done nothing wrong Everything is hazy, there’s nothing in my sights If I could only love her, I would climb to new heights I left my sins behind me but love still eludes Losing a troubled past is not a past without the blues I got those Karmic blues She was famous for one thing, but the truth was another They said she loved girls but it actually was her brother Allusions are so grand but rewards are so small. They don’t mean anything, not anything at all I left my sins behind me but love still eludes Losing a troubled past is not a past without the blues I got those Karmic blues I got those Karmic blues Yeah, I got those Karmic blues Karmic Blues ©Scott Leslie 2016 WGAE I282096

It's My Life 04:16
It's My Life Life, comes by only once My heart, doesn't skip but jumps Love, comes by now and then But the past, never lets me win I can’t see the angels in the skies I can’t see the hope in your eyes It’s my life Hard times, comes so easy to me Redemption, is something I can’t see Desire, it’s my only sin But failure, where do I begin I can’t see the angels in the skies I can’t see the truth in your eyes It’s my life Change, you know it had to come Resolve, I think I might have some Devotion, as I head towards you Salvation, as my faith renews Now I see the angels in the skies Now I see the love in your eyes It’s my life, It’s my life It's my life ©Scott Leslie 2016 WGAE I282097

Fallen Man 03:31
Fallen Man Pieces of my life, still belong to you But you tear apart my soul, like you always do A knife cutting water, doesn't always bleed Sometimes I don't know, just what you need Forever and always I'm a fallen man I try to get by whenever I can Whenever I can I look into your eyes, like I'm in a trance Little mysteries, slipping through my hands When I cross the fields into paradise You pull me back like a throw of the dice Forever and always I'm a fallen man I try to get by whenever I can Whenever I can Baby, baby, where do I belong Tell me, tell me, please, it's been so long Fallen Man ©Scott Leslie 2016 WGAE I282098
